Mission Statement & Values

Working Together, A Caring Sharing Partnership

Horndale County Infant and Nursery School, through a partnership of Pupils, Parents, Governors and Staff is committed to developing every child’s potential.

This partnership will nurture the child’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth to help towards a greater understanding of the world in which each child now lives.

Our Values

At Horndale we provide a Values-based Curriculum. This means that we aim to promote and teach a set of values to our pupils that will ensure they develop the skills to be good citizens in the future. These will be woven into teaching and learning in order to develop improved social and emotional skills that will positively affect behaviour.

Parents were invited to help pupils, staff and governors to choose the school values for Horndale.  After consulting with staff, governors and parents, to ensure that the entire school community has a say in these values, it was decided that our school values, as part of a caring, sharing partnership are: Respect, Kindness, Confidence, Honesty, Equality and Happiness.
