I have worked at Horndale County Nursery and Infant school for the past four years as a Teaching Assistant.  During this time I have worked with a diverse range of children throughout Nursery and school, particularly in Year 2.

This has inspired me to become a school governor as I am passionate about supporting opportunities and making a positive difference to the life chances of children.

By being a school governor I hope to develop my skills and improve my knowledge of the education sector to maintain our high standards throughout school and nursery.

I feel this role will allow me to play a part in the local community and ensure the School and Nursery are accountable to the Newton Aycliffe area.
